How To Report Anti-Social Behaviour

The Metropolitan Police Safer Neighbourhood Team have provided a guide to help residents report anti-social behaviour.

They stated that “without the incidents being officially reported to Police, there are no records of the incidents or evidence that the incidents are part of an ongoing issue. In these circumstances Police are also unable to respond at the time of the incidents occurring.

Update on Pest Control – Tuesday 13th June 2023

This notice is to provide you with the most recent update from Pestgone (pest Control contractor), from their visit today, which is as follows:

“A routine inspection was carried out today across all areas of the premises, including all internal communal areas and landings. Eternal areas, including both Inner and Outer Greens, Communal Gardens and Bin Stores, during our increased visits to site over the past month.  We have seen a steady decrease in activity levels across the estate, this coupled with restructural and remedial work across the estate, have had a dramatic impact on the reduction of activity levels across all areas. All bait stations have been fully serviced, with bait replenished and refreshed where needed, good levels of housekeeping and hygiene standards were found during today’s inspection and staff have reported no issues since previous inspection. Bait Stations have been increased across the estate to allow greater coverage and control.  All baiting points have also had baits increased to allow full capacity monitoring. PestGone will continue to monitor on forthcoming service visits”.

Dogs Notice – Clean Up After Your Dog

Goulden House Inner Green

Please do not allow your dogs to urinate and foul on the fourth-floor walkway and this also includes the lifts. It is your responsibility as the dog owner to clean up after your dog, it is what responsible dog owners do.

There has been an unacceptable increase in the number of incidents, and it is unnecessary and unpleasant for all concerned. The Estate Office has received numerous calls and emails from very concerned residents and all the details have been passed to Wandsworth Borough Council.

This issue is currently being monitored by the Estate Office Staff and via CCTV and weekly detailed briefings are being provided to the Animal Welfare Officers at Wandsworth Borough Council and all future clean-up costs will be applied to the respective dog owner(s), via the Goulden House Co-Operative Ltd Recharge Policy.

“A routine inspection was carried out today across all areas of the premises including 4th floor internal communal areas bin stores risers and external areas with evidence of Rat activity found primarily towards entrance to 109 works are currently being carried out to block off and replace all sunken foot paths around this area to prevent further egress. I can also advise that we have increased the Bait Boxes on site and Pestgone’s visits have been increased by two additional visits to site per week, the latter to ensure that we stay on top of this issue.

Removal of Tree from Inner Green on Friday 2nd June 2023

Early this afternoon (Thursday 1st June), a large section of one of the trees came down in the Inner Green and thankfully no one was injured. Anthony Jones (Tree Manager at Wandsworth Borough Council) was called, and he attended site in less than one hour to access the tree. Tree Surgeons arrived shortly afterwards to remove the large fallen limb.

The tree in question is called the Alanthus Altissima and is fondly known as The Tree of Heaven. The findings are that sadly the tree is deemed unsafe due to crown decay and major deadwood throughout and dieback of the crown. There have been 3 separate incidents of major limb failure which has led Anthony Jones (Tree Manager for Wandsworth Borough Council) to confirm that the only option available is to remove the tree.

The tree will be felled tomorrow, Friday 2nd June at 9 am, to protect the residents from any further major limbs or the tree itself falling. A new tree shall be planted in its place in the new planting season.
